Ohio Licensed Staff Pharmacist
Job Summary
To support a growing closed-door pharmacy, the full-time Ohio Licensed Staff Pharmacist will verify prescriptions, provide patient counseling via phone, and collaborate with prescribers to ensure safe medication dispensing in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide proactive patient counseling on new prescriptions and manage inbound clinical inquiries
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Active Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing
- Strong command of the English language; bilingual Spanish preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume prescription verification with attention to detail
- Strong technical aptitude for pharmacy management systems and workflow tools
