Job Summary

Leading a team of underwriters, the full-time Ohio Licensed Underwriting Manager will manage medium-touch and high-touch new and renewal business, ensuring sound underwriting decisions while collaborating with operations and territory leaders in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversees a team of underwriters, managing productivity and balancing workloads for effective risk decision-making
• Handles underwriting referrals beyond team members' authority, exercising underwriting authority to ensure quality risk selection
• Coaches and mentors team members, enhancing their underwriting acumen and driving business development practices

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Preferred Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter certification
• Preferred Property and Casualty Insurance License
