Job Summary
Leading a team of Mortgage Underwriters, the full-time Ohio Licensed Underwriting Supervisor will manage daily operations, oversee workflow, ensure compliance with investor guidelines, and drive team performance in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mortgage Underwriters to meet performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews
- Oversee daily inventory distribution and monitor quality metrics to ensure timely loan processing and adherence to guidelines
- Coordinate responses to audit findings and collaborate with senior management on operational insights and strategic planning
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- HUD Direct Endorsement (DE) and VA credit certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Conventional, Government, Agency, and Jumbo loan guidelines
- Proven ability to manage team performance and achieve productivity targets
- Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing staff
