Ohio Licensed Utilization Management Nurse
Job Summary
Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Ohio Licensed Utilization Management Nurse will perform admission and continued stay reviews, collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely communication and workflow, and document review activities to optimize patient care and reimbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct timely and accurate reviews of patient admissions and continued stays to ensure efficient resource use and optimal reimbursement
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and patients to facilitate effective communication regarding level of care and payer decisions
- Document review activities, including clinical assessments and outcomes, in accordance with department policies
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Multi-State Compact License
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in acute care
- Experience with Interqual or MCG criteria is preferred
- 2+ years of clinical experience with the population to be served is recommended
