Ohio Medicaid Support Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting consumers and family caregivers in navigating Medicaid and Waiver enrollment, the full-time remote Ohio Medicaid Support Specialist will manage relationships with state Medicaid agencies, review applications for eligibility, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure access to Careforth programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with state Medicaid agency professionals and case managers to facilitate Medicaid and Waiver applications
• Review Medicaid and Waiver applications to ensure eligibility for Careforth programs and provide alternative resources for ineligible families
• Stay updated on state and federal Medicaid regulations and trends, and document processes for successful application approvals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 4-6 years of experience in health care, with 2+ years of direct experience with Medicaid and government programs
• Proven success in developing collaborative relationships with diverse groups
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and ability to navigate multiple systems
• Bi-lingual skills preferred
