Job Summary
To support patients navigating financial responsibilities, the full-time Ohio Patient Financial Advocate will work remotely, preparing estimated costs of services, requesting deposits, and discussing eligibility for financial assistance programs.
Key responsibilities:
- Counsel patients on payment responsibilities, options, and insurance benefits
- Initiate collection processes for prepayments and follow up to maximize collections
- Document interactions and updates in the appropriate computer systems accurately
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with three years of customer-facing experience, or an Associate's Degree with two years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with one year of experience
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capability to operate in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions
