Ohio Peer Recovery Specialist
Job Summary
To support individuals with substance use disorders, the full-time Ohio Peer Recovery Specialist will provide remote, individualized recovery support, build trusting relationships, and connect patients to community resources while working Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized peer recovery support to patients with varying levels of need and complexity
- Build sustained, trusting relationships that promote recovery, self-efficacy, and community connection
- Help patients establish recovery goals, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies for achieving these goals
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in peer recovery support, including experience navigating opioid use disorder treatment resources and referral processes
- Active peer certification in good standing in the state of residence
- Current certification as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) or the ability to obtain certification within 9 months of hire
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
