Ohio Public Policy Senior Manager

Job Summary

Representing Amazon Web Services (AWS) before state and local policymakers, the full-time salaried Ohio Public Policy Senior Manager will manage advocacy efforts focused on data center infrastructure policy and advance AWS's public policy objectives in Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute government affairs advocacy objectives and public policy priorities for AWS in Ohio
• Lead advocacy efforts on data center infrastructure operations and expansion policy to maintain Ohio's competitive position
• Facilitate high-level meetings between AWS executives and key stakeholders to promote and advocate the company's public policy positions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g., Law, Political Science, Public Policy)
• Experience engaging on data center infrastructure or related physical infrastructure policy at the state or local level in Ohio
• Strong knowledge of advocacy and public policy development pertaining to information technology issues
• Ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade others effectively
• Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships and networks with stakeholders
