Oklahoma Licensed Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support the infusion therapy team, the part-time Oklahoma Licensed Patient Access Specialist will manage referrals, verify patient benefits, and communicate with patients and referral sources while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Processes orders from referral sources and assesses patient needs upon arrival
• Verifies patient's benefits and eligibility for requested services, obtaining necessary prior authorizations
• Communicates with patients and families regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibilities

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or related healthcare services
• Proven experience with healthcare insurance plans, including eligibility and authorization processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while adhering to productivity standards
