Job Summary
To support infusion therapy services, the part-time Oklahoma Licensed Patient Access Specialist will manage patient referrals, verify insurance benefits, and communicate with patients and healthcare providers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Processes orders from referral sources and assesses patient needs upon arrival
- Verifies patient's benefits and eligibility for requested services, obtaining prior authorizations as needed
- Communicates with patients, families, and referral sources regarding financial responsibilities and assistance
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or related healthcare services
- Proven experience with healthcare insurance plans, including eligibility and authorization processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while adhering to productivity and quality standards
