Job Summary
Managing all aspects of American College of Surgeons accredited projects, the full-time Accreditation Consultant will ensure project goals are met while supervising operations, maintaining compliance, and mentoring staff in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Oversees all abstracting and operations activities for projects with 300-500 cases per year, ensuring compliance with ACoS requirements
- Acts as the subject matter expert for registry operations and accreditation requirements, preparing documentation and coordinating committee meetings
- Conducts quarterly GAP analyses and monitors project priorities, deadlines, and productivity to meet established goals
Required qualifications
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) certification is required
- Minimum of three years of registry abstracting experience and familiarity with cancer registry reference manuals
- Proficient in MS Office products and cancer registry software systems
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards for ACoS programs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
