Oncology Scientific Director

Job Summary

To support a diverse portfolio of clients, the remote Senior Scientific Director will oversee the planning, development, and execution of scientific content for medical publications in oncology, while managing a team and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strategic medical communication recommendations to clients in collaboration with the Group Scientific Director
• Independently lead the execution of content development activities and supervise Associate Scientific Directors
• Liaise with in-house and freelance staff to manage writing tasks, conduct background research, and ensure data accuracy

Required qualifications:

• Advanced degree in science (PhD, PharmD, or MD) is required; CMPP preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in medical publications, including manuscripts and presentations
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret scientific data and manage projects under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with professional medical editorial processes and ethical guidelines
• Experience in oncology is required
