Oncology Scientific Director

Job Summary

To support the development of impactful medical communications, the remote Scientific Director - Oncology will manage the planning, development, and oversight of scientific content for assigned accounts, focusing on various therapeutic areas including Oncology.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Group Scientific Director to provide strategic medical communication recommendations that align with brand goals
• Independently lead content development activities and supervise Associate Scientific Directors
• Liaise with in-house and freelance staff to manage writing and content-related tasks, including conducting background research and data-checking

Required qualifications

• An advanced degree in science is required
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with promotional medical education content
• Experience with oncology, particularly in solid tumors such as lung cancers, is required
• Familiarity with professional medical editorial processes and ethical guidelines
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
