Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Online AI Software Development Faculty member, the role will guide curriculum design and teach courses focused on AI-augmented software development, preparing students to ethically and productively engage with AI systems in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for AI-augmented software development, guiding curriculum design across the undergraduate program
- Design and teach courses on AI-assisted coding, LLM-based application development, and responsible AI practices for students with no prior coding experience
- Mentor faculty on AI-augmented pedagogical strategies and collaborate with academic leadership to align curriculum with industry expectations
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, or a Master's degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline; Ph.D. preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in AI-integrated development environments, with demonstrated expertise in AI-augmented software development
- Experience in designing or delivering curriculum for beginner-to-intermediate learners, with teaching or mentoring experience preferred
- Proficiency in AI-assisted coding tools and workflows, LLM concepts, and secure coding principles
- Commitment to responsible AI development and the ability to scaffold complex concepts for novice learners
