Online High School Astrophysics Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a remote, temporary Online High School Astrophysics or Quantum Mechanics Instructor for Summer 2026, who will engage students in advanced topics of astrophysics and quantum mechanics, guiding them through interactive lessons and final research projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging online lessons in astrophysics and quantum mechanics for grades 9-12
• Facilitate student-led discussions and hands-on activities, including observational astronomy
• Guide students in completing final research projects utilizing real data and advanced concepts

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of teaching experience in astrophysics or significant subject matter knowledge
• Experience working with middle or high school students in an academic setting preferred
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to high school students
• Passion for science education and strong organizational skills
