Online Mathematics Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Online Mathematics Instructor, the candidate will teach two corequisite developmental courses per year, including MATH 0385 Contemporary Mathematics Pathway and MATH 0387 College Algebra Mathematics Pathway, while engaging with students and maintaining course standards.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned mathematics courses and prepare course materials, including syllabi and assignments
• Administer assessments and provide timely feedback to students, addressing their concerns and supporting their learning needs
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to recruitment, advising, and retention activities

Required qualifications

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline from an accredited institution
• Teaching experience in Mathematics or graduate training in remedial education
• Computer literacy and ability to utilize technology in teaching
• Experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
