Open-Source Investigator
Job Summary
To support the Eyes on Russia project, the full-time contractor Open-Source Investigator will conduct open-source investigations, analyze geospatial data, and produce reports remotely while collaborating with a dedicated team until March 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct open-source investigations using a variety of techniques and methodologies
- Perform geospatial analysis, including geolocation and satellite imagery analysis
- Write concise and accurate reports based on investigation findings
Required qualifications
- Experience investigating war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine or similar jurisdictions
- Deep knowledge of Russian and Ukrainian social media and datasets
- Experience with specific skills such as munitions analysis or financial investigations
- Proficiency in English; Russian or Ukrainian language skills are desirable
