Open Source Technology Lead
Job Summary
Leading open source technology initiatives, the full-time Open Source Technology Lead will manage container orchestration, oversee package management, and ensure compliance while collaborating with engineering teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Own container management for open source multilingual and data-quality tooling, including Docker/Kubernetes images and deployment pipelines
- Design and operate a container orchestration and registry strategy to ensure secure environments for open source components
- Drive open source compliance, license scanning, and policy enforcement while mentoring engineers on best practices
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computational Linguistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with open source technologies
- Deep technical expertise in R and Python, including package/library development and dependency management
- Strong experience with container management tools such as Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Proven knowledge of open source compliance practices and package management workflows
