Operational Meteorologist

Job Summary

Experienced operational meteorologists will find a remote opportunity to support customers by producing timely forecasts and risk assessments, interpreting model differences, and improving workflows in weather-sensitive environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor evolving conditions and produce timely forecasts using various meteorological tools and analyses
• Explain weather impacts through reports and consultations, tailoring guidance to customer operations
• Identify and automate recurring tasks while improving forecasting processes and tools

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as an operational meteorologist
• Strong forecasting judgment with experience integrating various meteorological data sources
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance workflows
• Ability to assess forecast uncertainty and improve guidance based on performance reviews
• Knowledge of weather patterns across the continental United States and varied global climate zones
