Operations Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Operations Engineer on the NewEdge Government team, the successful candidate will manage planned maintenance, troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure issues, and ensure high standards of uptime in government-accredited environments.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-based infrastructure or application issues, escalating as necessary
- Manage and prioritize tickets by logging issues and coordinating with internal teams
- Plan and execute system and network maintenance while communicating changes effectively
Required qualifications
- US citizenship and physical residence in the US
- At least 3 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience
- At least 3 years of network administration experience
- Proficiency in scripting with Shell, Python, or similar languages
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
