Operations Engineer
Job Summary
Providing engineering support across the operating fleet, the remote Operations Engineer/Sr. Operations Engineer will focus on resolving technical issues, improving plant reliability, and optimizing performance while collaborating with various teams and vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a primary engineering resource for troubleshooting and coordinating corrective actions across the plant
- Drive the resolution of technical issues, including equipment failures and performance optimization
- Support the turnover of new projects from construction to operations, ensuring design and operational deficiencies are addressed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
- 0-5 years of relevant experience for Operations Engineer; 6+ years for Senior Operations Engineer
- Utility-scale solar operations experience required for Senior Operations Engineer and preferred for Operations Engineer
- Field experience troubleshooting utility-scale solar plant equipment, such as PV arrays and inverters
- Broad understanding of utility-scale PV plant systems and familiarity with electrical testing methods
