Operations Research Data Scientist
Job Summary
To support the optimization of operations and student learning, the full-time Operations Research Data Scientist will design and develop statistical and analytical solutions remotely, translating business questions into quantitative analyses and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy data science insights.
Key responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous business questions into specific quantitative analyses using available data
- Research and develop statistical models and machine learning solutions for business optimization
- Create and present data visualizations and reports to communicate key insights and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 6 months of data science experience in a higher education environment
- Proficiency in SQL programming and statistical analysis tools such as R and Python
- Experience with AWS cloud environments including Lambda, Redshift, and SageMaker
- Ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders
