Operations Specialist I

Job Summary

To support the operations of a tech-enabled freight forwarder, the full-time hourly Operations Specialist I will set up new orders for time-sensitive commodities, provide proactive customer updates, and manage communications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Set up new orders by following standard work practices and client-specific SOP instructions
• Proactively communicate delays and updates to customers, offering alternative solutions when necessary
• Manage inbound and outbound communications, ensuring timely acknowledgment and action on all requests

Required qualifications

• Experience in logistics or operations management preferred
• Ability to navigate and interpret airline booking and tracking websites
• Proficiency in using various communication platforms for customer interactions
• Strong situational awareness for problem-solving and decision-making
• Willingness to meet minimum metric requirements and customer service standards
