Operations Staff Attorney
Job Summary
To support clients in navigating immigration processes, the part-time Operations Staff Attorney will review immigration applications, communicate with clients, and ensure accurate filings while working remotely under the supervision of senior attorneys.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as attorney of record for assigned immigration cases, following legal strategy and obtaining necessary approvals
- Review and evaluate immigration applications and related documents for accuracy and completeness, making necessary edits before submission
- Communicate with clients regarding their cases, providing clear explanations and documenting interactions in case records
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar
- EOIR number preferred, or commitment to obtain one within the first month of employment
- 0-1 year of post-J.D. experience, with relevant preparation from law school clinics or internships
- Interest in immigration law and commitment to supporting clients in their legal journeys
