Optical Design Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of Optical Design Engineers, the full-time Manager, Design Engineering - Optical will oversee the design, capital allocation, and implementation of new optical services on a DWDM network while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage project status updates and maintain customer commitments in the database
• Provide support to field operations and resolve provisioning issues while collaborating with internal teams
• Design and implement DWDM network solutions in accordance with engineering standards and future growth plans

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of seven years in telecommunications and/or data networking
• At least two years of experience in Telecommunications Project Management or as a Lead Engineer
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs using ROADM technology
• Familiarity with optical systems such as Fuji, Adva, and Ciena, as well as project management software
