Job Summary
Serving as the Oracle 19c database authority, the full-time salaried Oracle Database Administrator will focus on migrating a legacy U.S. Army enterprise system into Palantir Foundry, performing tasks such as data extraction, mapping, and quality validation, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the migration of a legacy Oracle 19c database, ensuring integrity-validated snapshots for loading into Palantir Foundry
- Analyze and refactor legacy ETL jobs and PL/SQL objects to facilitate a smooth transition to the new data pipeline
- Establish and maintain data quality and validation rules throughout the migration process, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
- 10+ years of Oracle database administration experience with a focus on migration and transition projects
- Advanced expertise in Oracle 19c, including RMAN, Data Pump, ASM, PL/SQL, and partitioning
- Experience in analyzing legacy PL/SQL and Oracle ETL code for migration decisions
- An active Secret security clearance is required
