Oracle Database Administrator
Job Summary
Managing the data for a federal platform, the full-time Database Administrator will ensure the security and performance of the Oracle database while overseeing the migration of legacy data to a new system, all in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer and tune the production Oracle Enterprise database, ensuring its availability and integrity
- Develop and maintain a Data Migration Plan for moving legacy data, including mapping and validating data structures
- Implement database security controls and support disaster recovery testing and operations continuity
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a database administrator or database engineer
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise database administration, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience leading large-scale data migrations from legacy systems to new platforms
