Oracle Database Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Oracle Database Consultant will provide comprehensive support for database and application infrastructure, focusing on solution design, infrastructure analysis, and backup management for various clients.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate, analyze, design, implement, and administer IT solutions, ensuring optimal database server configuration and maintenance
- Analyze client infrastructure and recommend best practices to enhance operational procedures and ensure maximum uptime
- Administer backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, proactively monitoring and troubleshooting operational issues
Required qualifications
- Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases and relevant tools
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef
- Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging complex database issues
- Experience with cloud-native database monitoring tools, including AWS CloudWatch and Google Cloud Operations
- Knowledge of database migrations from Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL to PostgreSQL using various migration tools
