Oracle Database Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Oracle Database Consultant will manage database solutions, provide technical expertise, and enhance client infrastructure while ensuring data integrity and recovery.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and administer IT solutions, including database server configuration and ongoing maintenance
- Analyze client infrastructure to recommend best practices for operational procedures and ensure maximum uptime
- Administer backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, proactively monitoring and troubleshooting operational issues
Required qualifications
- Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases and relevant tools
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or SALT
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex database issues
- Experience with cloud-native database monitoring tools, including AWS CloudWatch and Google Cloud Operations
- Knowledge of database migrations from various engines to PostgreSQL, utilizing migration tools effectively
