Oracle Database Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Oracle Database Consultant will provide comprehensive support for database and application infrastructure, including solution design, infrastructure analysis, and disaster recovery management for a diverse clientele.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate, analyze, design, implement, and administer IT solutions, including database server configuration and maintenance
- Administer backup procedures and disaster recovery plans while ensuring maximum uptime and recoverability of databases
- Develop and review action plans for maintenance, deployment, and upgrades, maintaining thorough client documentation
Required qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases and relevant tools
- Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting complex database issues
- Experience with cloud-native database monitoring tools, including AWS CloudWatch and Google Cloud Operations
- Familiarity with database migrations from various engines to PostgreSQL using migration tools
