Oracle Database Consultant
Job Summary
As part of a collaborative team, the full-time Oracle Database Consultant will provide comprehensive support for database and application infrastructure, focusing on solution design, infrastructure analysis, and backup management, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate, analyze, design, implement, and administer IT solutions, including database server configuration and maintenance
- Analyze client infrastructure and processes, recommending best practices to enhance operational procedures and ensure database uptime
- Administer backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, including proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of operational issues
Required qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases and related tools
- Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or SALT
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting complex database issues
- Experience with cloud-native database monitoring tools and database migrations across different engines
- Familiarity with scripting languages (bash/python) and software development (C++, Java, Go) is considered an asset
