Oracle Database Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the engineering and administration of enterprise database services, the full-time Oracle Database Engineer will manage production Oracle databases and cloud platforms, ensuring performance, security, and reliability in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support production Oracle databases, including configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex Oracle database incidents and operational challenges
- Participate in database modernization initiatives and support workloads hosted on cloud and managed database platforms
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Six (6+) years of experience in database administration or engineering, specifically with Oracle databases
- Hands-on experience with Oracle database environments in production settings
- Experience with cloud, managed-service, or hybrid-cloud environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other federal government clearance as required
