Oracle Exadata DBA
Job Summary
To support a growing remote team, the contract-to-hire Oracle Exadata DBA will manage large production systems, focusing on Oracle Exadata administration and PeopleSoft database support.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Oracle Exadata environments and support PeopleSoft databases, including upgrades and performance tuning
- Lead Oracle migrations, managing transitions from on-premises to Exadata or cloud-based solutions
- Utilize strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills to optimize database performance and ensure system reliability
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, or 12+ years for Principal level, with a focus on large production systems
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata administration, either on-premises or in the cloud
- Direct experience with PeopleSoft databases, including batch processing and environment refreshes
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Database 19c, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
- Solid Linux administration skills and experience with shell scripting
