Oregon Licensed Medical Coder IV

Job Summary

To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Oregon Licensed Medical Coder IV will complete medical coding, provide guidance to junior team members, and support process improvements in a remote environment for candidates residing in Oregon or Washington.

Key responsibilities

• Completes medical coding by translating clinical information into coded data and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
• Provides feedback and guidance to junior team members on coding practices and documentation standards
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of continuous inpatient and/or hospital coding experience
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role
• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) years of coding experience, or six (6) years of coding experience with one (1) year in a corporate or business office environment
• Certified Coding Specialist, Registered Health Information Administrator, or Registered Health Information Technician required at hire
