Oregon Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist
Job Summary
To support Oregon Medicaid, the remote Oregon Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist will review prior authorization requests from providers, ensuring medication utilization aligns with clinical guidelines while collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to program improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Review prior authorization requests to ensure compliance with Preferred Drug List criteria and clinical guidelines
- Support peer-to-peer discussions with medical providers regarding prior authorization reviews
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to identify trends and areas for utilization management improvements
Required qualifications
- PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy
- Registered Pharmacist with unrestricted state licensure
- Four years of experience in clinical pharmacy
- Experience in managed care and/or prior authorization preferred
- Strong research and analytical skills applicable to clinical reviews
