Oregon Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in Oregon, the full-time Oregon Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist will efficiently obtain medical procedure authorizations, process clinical documentation for insurance carriers, and communicate with clinical staff to ensure timely approvals and denials.

Key responsibilities:

• Efficiently obtain and process authorizations for medical procedures prior to scheduled dates of service
• Document prior authorization information and ensure all supporting documents are complete and accurate
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff regarding authorization statuses and resolve any issues related to denials

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of experience working with Medical Prior Authorizations
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office
• 1+ years of experience interacting with insurance companies
• 1+ years of experience in ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge
