Oregon Licensed Utilization Coordinator

Job Summary

Providing clinical expertise in mental health and substance use disorder treatment services, the full-time Oregon Licensed Utilization Coordinator will manage authorization requests, conduct clinical reviews, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Review authorization requests and determine the adequacy of provided information, requesting additional details as necessary
• Make authorization decisions based on medical necessity criteria and sound clinical judgment, consulting with Licensed Practitioners as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with community providers and relevant parties to ensure quality care

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral health required
• Licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor
• Five years of experience working with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness
• Proficiency in MS software or Google Suites
• Ability to work occasional rotating on-call hours
