Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Organic Compliance Coordinator will conduct investigations of complaints and requests in accordance with established policies, collaborating with an investigative team to prepare and report findings.
Key responsibilities
- Completes intake and reviews of complaints and investigation requests from various sources, including the National Organic Program
- Develops and executes investigative plans, maintaining timelines and tracking activities related to complaints and investigations
- Prepares detailed Investigation Reports and communicates findings to relevant personnel
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or five years of relevant experience with USDA National Organic Program standards and regulations
- Expertise in organic production or handling techniques and knowledge of certification to USDA organic standards
- Experience in performing certification reviews and evaluating compliance with applicable regulations
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
