OrioleDB Deployment Engineer
Job Summary
Joining the OrioleDB team as a full-time remote OrioleDB Deployment Engineer, the successful candidate will manage software packaging, oversee release lifecycles, and optimize CI/CD processes while collaborating closely with developers to enhance the OrioleDB offering.
Key responsibilities
- Package software into the supabase/postgres repository using Nix and transition to Nix packaging
- Manage OrioleDB release lifecycles, ensuring timely upgrades and maintenance
- Optimize CI/CD processes and tooling, expanding GitHub Actions and testing approaches
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL and its ecosystem, including extensions and performance optimization
- Proficiency in the Nix package management system, along with experience in Ansible, Packer, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience building for multiple architectures, specifically Linux and Darwin/macOS aarch64 targets
- Ability to work in polyglot environments, including C/C++, Go, JavaScript, and Rust-based projects
- Experience in async or globally distributed teams, valuing independent and proactive problem-solving
