Orthodontic Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

Focusing on resolving outstanding insurance balances, the full-time Orthodontic Insurance AR Specialist will research unpaid claims, follow up with insurance carriers, and reconcile payments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review outstanding and past-due orthodontic insurance claims to identify reasons for non-receipt of payments
• Follow up with insurance carriers to research claim and payment status, submitting and resubmitting claims as necessary
• Reconcile insurance payments and make account adjustments to ensure accuracy of patient and insurance balances

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of orthodontic insurance experience required
• Experience with orthodontic practice management software such as Dolphin, Cloud 9, Ortho2, OrthoTrac, or TOPS preferred
• Strong understanding of dental or orthodontic insurance processes, including claim submission and payment processing
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and insurance carrier websites efficiently
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
