Job Summary
Responsible for obtaining and managing permits for outside plant fiber and utility infrastructure projects, the full-time OSP Licensing Specialist will work remotely to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with municipalities and utility companies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the application process for permits, including preparation, submission, and tracking for OSP construction projects
- Interpret and apply utility agreements and municipal ordinances, resolving escalated permitting issues and conflicts
- Coordinate traffic control plans, inspections, and communicate permit requirements to project teams to support construction timelines
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-7 years of experience in OSP permitting, joint use licensing, or telecom utility coordination
- Strong knowledge of OSP construction and jurisdictional permitting requirements
- Experience with Make Ready Engineering (MRE) and pole loading analysis (PLA) review
- Proficient with permitting databases and documentation systems
