Job Summary

Providing essential scheduling support, the full-time Outbound Referral Scheduler will proactively contact patients to coordinate appointments for UC Health ambulatory departments, ensuring a positive patient experience while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Initiates outbound calls to patients with referrals requiring appointment scheduling
• Schedules appointments according to established provider, department, and scheduling guidelines
• Documents patient outreach attempts and updates referral and scheduling information accurately

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 0-6 months of experience preferred in customer service, call center, scheduling, or healthcare environments
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ambulatory scheduling workflows
• Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and scheduling resources
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
