Outpatient Auditor
Job Summary
To support quality assurance in outpatient coding, the PRN Outpatient Auditor will conduct quality reviews, provide training for newly hired coding specialists, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely up to 20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Complete quality assurance reviews for outpatient coding specialists and onboarding audits
- Provide training and educational sessions on coding error trends to newly hired consultants
- Maintain accuracy rates and productivity standards while reporting quality results to management
Required qualifications
- Possession of an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential; CIRCC/RCCIR preferred
- Minimum of 4 years' coding experience
- Minimum of 4 years auditing experience
- Experience with both professional fee (PB) and facility (HB) IVR auditing
- At least 2 years of remote work experience recommended
