Outpatient Quality Analyst

Job Summary

To ensure the highest standards of accuracy in outpatient coding, the full-time remote Outpatient Quality Analyst will review coding audits, provide coaching to coders, and contribute to process improvements within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Review coding audits for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Coach and support coders to enhance their accuracy and confidence
• Deliver feedback from audits and identify training needs or process gaps

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma (required); CCS or CPC certification (required)
• At least 5 years of coding experience in both professional and hospital settings
• Deep knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT, Medicare OPPS, and APCs
• Skilled in using encoder tools (Optum, TrueCode, 3M, Webstrat)
• Expertise in coding complex outpatient services and applying modifiers
