Outside Auto Appraiser

Job Summary

As an Outside Auto Appraiser, the full-time remote position will involve inspecting damaged vehicles, estimating repair costs, and determining the actual cash value of total loss vehicles to ensure timely claim settlements while collaborating with repair facilities and providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage through virtual or on-site inspections at body shops or customer locations
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software and negotiate repair costs with relevant parties
• Evaluate and settle vehicle total losses by determining actual cash value through market research and analysis

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Active adjuster license, where applicable
• Two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software
• High School Diploma or GED required with one year of relevant experience or completion of the Travelers Claim Representative training program
