Outside Auto Appraiser

Job Summary

Working remotely, the Outside Auto Appraiser will inspect damaged vehicles, estimate repair costs, and determine the actual cash value of total loss vehicles to ensure accurate and timely claim settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage through virtual or on-site inspections at body shops or customer locations
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software and negotiate repair costs with various stakeholders
• Evaluate total losses by determining actual cash value through market research and comparable vehicle analysis

Required qualifications

• Technical expertise in vehicle damage assessment
• Experience in customer service within a claims or insurance environment
• Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with valuation tools and methodologies for vehicle assessments
