Overpayment Resolution Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Overpayment Resolution Analyst will manage the analysis and resolution of credit balances, improperly posted payments, and contractual adjustments to ensure accurate patient account records.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve credit balances and payment discrepancies in patient accounts
• Investigate accounts through review of system-generated reports, EOBs, and payer remittance advices
• Request cash corrections, adjustments, or refunds as necessary to maintain accurate account balances

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare setting, or an AA/AS Degree with at least three years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to read and understand EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
• Experience in accounts receivable or revenue cycle management preferred
