Job Summary
To support eco-design initiatives, the full-time remote Packaging Design Manager will develop tools and guidance for regulatory compliance, prepare submissions for regulatory bodies, and engage with industry stakeholders to promote sustainable packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop tools and resources to translate regulatory objectives into practical packaging design actions
- Prepare regulatory submissions on technical matters, including comments on proposals and applications for exemptions
- Monitor and evaluate packaging design standards, identifying trends and best practices to inform program strategy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in sustainable packaging, material design and engineering, or circular economy roles
- Strong understanding of packaging design's role in environmental outcomes and recycling systems
- Experience developing and implementing packaging sustainability solutions
- Robust knowledge of packaging materials and industry eco-design standards
