Packet and Voice Engineer
Job Summary
To support network optimization efforts, the full-time Packet and Voice Engineer will provision customer and network services, perform maintenance grooming of circuits, and conduct in-depth network analysis while working onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Provision customer and network services in routers, data switches, and voice switching platforms
- Perform maintenance window grooming of customer and network circuits to support optimization efforts
- Conduct in-depth analysis on networks to develop plans for optimal use of network infrastructure
Required qualifications
- At least five years of experience with Ethernet, VoIP, and Voice switching
- Experience supporting carrier-grade Ethernet and IP services, including DIA and WAN connectivity
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing
- Understanding of voice features and products, including SIP and PRI
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
