Job Summary
Supporting the implementation of the MAKE-READY project, the part-time Pandemic Preparedness Veterinary Specialist will provide technical expertise in animal health and zoonotic disease prevention while working remotely on a when-actually-employed basis for up to eleven months.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expertise on One Health, veterinary epidemiology, surveillance, and emergency preparedness
- Contribute to or lead capacity-building events and design training materials on veterinary epidemiology and disease surveillance
- Review and develop national strategy documents related to disease control and surveillance
Required qualifications
- Advanced university degree in veterinary medicine, animal health, epidemiology, or a related field
- At least five years of relevant working experience in animal health, veterinary services, or public health preparedness
- Working knowledge of English; knowledge of Albanian, Macedonian, or Serbian is an asset
